Skippering a yacht for the first time can be an intimidating experience, but it can also be one of the most rewarding things that you can do.
The RYA Day Skipper practical course is designed to teach you to take control safely and confidently. Throughout this course you will learn vital skills including passage planning, engine maintenance, close quarters boat handling, safety drills and weather forecasting. This will give you the skills and confidence required to get out there and give it a try.
We recommend that you complete your Day Skipper Theory before the practical course to enable you to get the most out of it. RYA Day skipper theory is a RYA five day training course based at our offices in Shepards Marina, Cowes.
